The project for the recovery and restoration of the building in the centre of Giuliano di Lecce presents itself as a harmonious fusion of tradition and modernity. The structure, with its characteristic vaulted and barrel-vaulted roofs, preserves the typical architectural charm of the area, while the intervention aims to enhance the interior spaces, making them functional and pleasant to live in.
At the entrance, the living area plays a central role, characterised by large windows that not only illuminate the room, but create a direct dialogue with the garden outside. This space is configured as a place for socialising and conviviality, ideal for spending time with family or friends, immersed in the beauty of the surrounding landscape.
The bedroom, located in the north wing of the barrel-vaulted building, represents an intimate and cosy refuge. The large opening on the east side allows natural light to enter, creating a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The adjoining toilet is fitted with resin tiling, which lends modernity and practicality while maintaining stylistic coherence with the rest of the house.
The design of the interior furnishings stands out for its simple and clean lines, accentuating the strong and distinctive character of the home. The choice of materials, including the wrought concrete floor and hydraulic lime plaster, offers a feeling of rusticity and authenticity, while remaining modern and easily maintained.
This recovery project is not just an architectural intervention, but an opportunity to enhance the history of the place, creating a home that respects the past and looks to the future, ready to welcome new memories and stories to tell.
