The design of this house in Castrignano del Capo (LE) stands out for its square shapes and well-defined volumes, which blend harmoniously into the surrounding living context. The structure is conceived on two levels, with a ground floor characterised by a spacious open-plan living area.
The living area, with its large openings on three sides, is particularly bright and welcoming, while the kitchen is protected by a veranda overlooking the outdoor garden, creating an ideal environment for relaxation and conviviality.
The bathrooms, cleverly positioned to the north and west, guarantee maximum functionality and privacy. The vertical connection between the floors is entrusted to an exposed staircase, which becomes a central design element, illuminated by a zenithal light that crosses the roof plane, giving an additional touch of elegance to the environment.
On the first floor, the sleeping area is designed to offer comfort and tranquillity, with bedrooms equipped with balconies providing direct access to the outside, allowing residents to enjoy the view and the open air. A study corner has been provided to encourage productivity and study in a private setting.
The garden, enriched with shrubs and plants, completes the home, creating a natural habitat that blends with the architecture. The materials used, such as hemp lime brick and natural hemp lime plaster, not only meet sustainability criteria, but also contribute to a simple, linear aesthetic in harmony with the surroundings.
In short, this is a project that combines functionality, aesthetics and sustainability, creating a modern and cosy home.
