Villa MM

The renovation project of the building located in Santa Maria di Leuca represents an interesting opportunity to bring a 1980s structure back to life, adapting it to contemporary needs and enhancing the surrounding natural context.

The intervention includes an internal and external transformation, with the intention of making the building harmonious and in tune with the traditional architecture of the area, particularly through the use of splayed lines. These fluid and organic forms recall the aesthetics of the ‘liama’, typical of local buildings, creating a fascinating interaction between light and shadow, which varies during the course of the day.

The square configuration of the building is designed to maximise the view of the sea. To the south, a bright and comfortable living area is located, accompanied by a bedroom offering breathtaking views. The strategically placed kitchen benefits from natural light from both the garden to the north and the outdoor space to the west, ensuring a sunny and welcoming environment.

The surrounding garden is not only a delimiting element, but becomes a real living space for conviviality and relaxation, with equipped areas offering remarkable views of the sea. The choice of different essences and trees further enriches the environment, creating a relaxing and natural atmosphere.

Inside, the white and sky-blue colour palette not only reflects the surrounding seascape, but also helps to create bright and airy spaces, enhancing the design and promoting visual harmony. This project is not just a building renovation, but an invitation to live in symbiosis with the beauty of the Santa Maria di Leuca area
